Charlie Lyons is an established entertainment company chief executive with a history of building media franchises. He is also a creative producer and financier of major motion pictures.

He is the Managing Partner of Holding Pictures and a partner in Beacon Communications. Beacon and Holding Pictures have generated over three billion dollars of film revenues, with critically-acclaimed libraries of over 40 movies. Holding's films include The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep, Open Range, The Guardian, Firewall, Ladder 49, Raising Helen, A Lot Like Love and PU-239. Beacon's library includes The Hurricane, Air Force One, The Family Man, Spy Game, For Love of the Game and Thirteen Days.

Lyons also produces and manages the Bring It On franchise which consists of five motion pictures and a musical. The phenomenon, Bring It On, has been seen by over 100 million people and has generated over a billion dollars in revenue. Lyons is the creator, producer, and presenter of Bring It On The Musical (www.bringitonmusical.com) which premiered at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta, and opened its national tour at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. The show is booked for a year in San Francisco, Denver, Houston, Fayetteville, Dallas, Des Moines, Chicago, St. Louis, Charlotte, Durham, Providence and Toronto, with more cities to come.

Lyons was Founder and Chairman/CEO of the Ascent Entertainment Group Inc., a global media enterprise, which was purchased by Liberty Media Group in 2000. Ascent owned and operated Beacon Pictures, On Command Corporation (video on demand), Ascent Network Services (broadcast provider for NBC), the NBA Denver Nuggets and the NHL Colorado Avalanche (1996 Stanley Cup Champions). It also developed and financed the Pepsi Center, a $200 million sports and entertainment facility in downtown Denver, Colorado. He co-founded Colorado Studios, a leading Colorado-based production company.

Lyons began his career as a staff aide to Vice President of the United States Nelson A. Rockefeller, and went on to assist the Hon. William D. Rogers in finalizing the Panama Canal Treaty. He has served on numerous corporate and charitable boards, including the NBA, NHL, WNBA, National Jewish Hospital and Gallaudet University.
